Sigplus Missing GD or Imagick

Sigplus(a popular Joomla gallery plugin) may give this error:

[sigplus] Critical error: The Graphics Draw (gd) or ImageMagick (imagick) image processing library has to be enabled in the PHP configuration to generate thumbnails.

As the error suggests you have to make sure GD or Imagick PHP libraries are available to the PHP scripts. For this purpose make sure:

1. GD or Imagick is among the compilation PHP options.

2. Either or both are enabled in the global php.ini file.

To fix this error will require root / administrative privileges to the server. Thus contact the administrator if you are not the one.
